The Anguilla United Front has won eight of the 11 seats in the Anguilla House of Assembly, securing a majority to form the island’s new government.
The AUF’s winning candidates are party leader Cora Richardson Hodge, Shellya Rogers, Cordell Richardson, Cardigan Connor, Kyle Hodge, José Vanterpool, Evans McNiel Rogers and Jeison Bryan.
Richardson Hodge will become Anguilla’s first female premier.

Former premier Ellis Webster, Merrick Richardson and former tourism and infrastructure minister Haydn Hughes of the Anguilla Progressive Movement will form the official opposition.

The winning candidates for the four islandwide seats in the Anguilla House of Assembly are Kyle Hodge, José Vanterpool, Evans McNiel Rogers and Jeison Bryan – all of the Anguilla United Front.

9pm – More ballot boxes arrive
The electronic ballot boxes from District 1 – Island Harbour, District 2 – Sandy Hill, District 3 – Valley North and District 6 – Road South have arrived at the Anguilla House of Assembly building in The Valley.
The votes for District 4 – Valley South are still to arrive.

8.45pm – Election observers
A group of non-partisan residents are carefully observing Anguilla’s general election in order to provide an impartial account of the voting process.
The Anguilla Independent Citizens Observers (AICO) is independent from the Governor’s Office, the Government of Anguilla, and any other political party or candidate.
Members have already looked at advance polling and voting at polling stations, and will also observe the counting and tallying of votes.
Governor Julia Crouch asked Canon Reid Simon to lead the domestic observation, together with nine other non-partisan observers — a responsibility the law assigns to her.
8.35pm – Ballots arrive
Electronic ballot boxes from District 5 – Road North, District 7 – West End, and District 3 – Valley North have arrived at the Anguilla House of Assembly building.
7pm – Live coverage
From 7pm, lawyer Carlyle Rogers joined Keith ‘Stone’ Greaves on Radio Anguilla for a live election discussion and count update.
Rogers told listeners that he visited all of the polling stations in Anguilla throughout the day and said the atmosphere had been “calm and amicable”.

7pm – Voting ends
The cut off time to cast a vote for Anguilla’s general election has passed – but those who joined a queue at a polling station before 7pm will still be allowed to vote.
When the final vote has been cast, the ballots and the electronic voting machines will be transported to the Anguilla House of Assembly building in The Valley for the vote count which will begin at 8.30pm.
6pm – One hour to vote
The countdown is on. There is just one hour left to vote in Anguilla’s general election as polling stations close at 7pm.
Registered voters can make their way to their respective station now to cast their ballot. Details of locations are below.
Those who join a queue at a polling station before the cut off time will still be allowed to vote.
Votes will be counted at the Anguilla House of Assembly building in The Valley from 8.30pm.

9am – Voting weather
Voters in Anguilla can expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day, with a moderate 40% chance of showers, according to the Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services.
Temperatures will reach a high of 31°C (88°F), so those heading to polling stations should be prepared for warm conditions. However, a strong southeasterly breeze of 10 to 18 mph will provide some relief.
The sun will set at 6.19pm just before polling stations close, and the chance of rain will increase to 60% in the evening.
6am – General voting opens
Registered voters can now cast their vote for their chosen district representative and up to four islandwide representatives to sit in the Anguilla House of Assembly.
Polling stations opened at 6am and will close at 7pm. Those in a queue for a polling station at the cut off point will still be allowed to cast their vote.

The exact polling booths according to voter surname are listed below in a table from the Central Electoral Office:
Voters must be a citizen of Anguilla, have resided in the territory for a specified period before the election, be at least 18 years old, and be registered on the electoral roll.
Every voter, upon entering the polling station, will need to declare their name, address, date of birth and occupation, or present their voter registration card if any has been issued.
The total number of registered voters as of 12 February was 12,549 – up by 550 from 11,999 registered voters at the end of the fourth quarter of 2024.

4pm – Advance poll closes
The advance poll for qualified voters of all districts held today at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, Quarter Campus, has officially closed.
11am – Elections supervisor speaks
Lloyd’s Live spoke to elections supervisor Rodney Rey at the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School, Quarter Campus, about who can vote during today’s advance poll.

Rey admitted that yesterday he “wrongfully and inadvertently” allowed some people to register to vote early.
He said he had hoped to use his discretion for those who had genuine reasons for late registration, but said he was “wrong” and did not have the power under law.
The elections supervisor urged people to come out and vote to exercise their civic duty and democratic right and help inform the future of Anguilla.
He also reminded the public that there will be no sale of alcohol tomorrow between 6am and 7pm.
