Anguilla has secured a series of strong placings in the USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2026, earning recognition across multiple travel and hospitality categories.
The island was not only named the second ‘Best Caribbean Island to Visit’, just behind Curacao, but also featured highly for its resorts, beach bars and golf course.
Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club on Rendezvous Bay placed first in the ‘Best Caribbean Resort’ category – a standout result in a highly competitive field.

The resort also ranked third for ‘Best Caribbean Golf Course’, recognising its unique layout and ocean views that make it a favourite among golfers in the region.

General manager Sean Robertson told Anguilla Focus: “Being named Best Caribbean Resort 2026 by USA Today’s 10 Best Awards is an incredible honour for all of us at Aurora.
“In addition, we are proud that Aurora International Golf Club placed third for Best Caribbean Golf Course, further recognising the breadth of experiences offered across the resort.
“These achievements belong to our dedicated team, whose passion and care shape every guest experience, and to the guests and Anguilla community who continue to support us.
“Receiving this recognition on an international platform is deeply meaningful and reaffirms our commitment to sharing the beauty, warmth, and authentic spirit of Anguilla with the world.”
Two of Anguilla’s most famous beach bears – SunShine Shack on Rendezvous Bay and Elvis’ Beach Bar on Sandy Ground – placed in second and third place in the ‘Best Caribbean Beach Bar’ category.

In a Facebook post, SunShine Shack said it is “truly humbled by this recognition” and went on to thank its customers, staff and supporters.
“It would not be possible without all of you – our incredible voting tribe who showed up, believed in us, and took this journey alongside us daily.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our customers, our amazing staff, and the local Anguilla community. This moment is because of you – and we couldn’t be more thankful.”
Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel on Maundays Bay also featured in the awards, placing a respectable number nine in the ‘Best Caribbean Resort’ category.
Every year, experts select their favourite travel and lifestyle brands for the annual awards, then editors from USA Today 10 Best narrow the list before opening the final vote to the public.
Anguilla also fared well in the 2025 awards, with two beaches, two beach bars, a golf club, a resort and a restaurant all placing in the top 10.
