A 50-year-old man from Little Harbour has been charged with attempted murder and other offences following a shooting in Blowing Point last week.
Fausto Connor was arrested the day after the incident, on 17 September, and at least five charges were laid on 20 September, according to a press release from the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
He is accused of attempted murder, discharging a firearm, possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of cannabis, among other related offences.
Connor appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on 22 September and was granted bail in the sum of EC$100,000, with a $25,000 cash component and two sureties.

Should Connor make bail, conditions include surrendering all of his travel documents, not leaving the jurisdiction and having no contact or interference with the victim or anyone connected to the shooting.
If he reoffends while on bail, bail will be revoked, and he will be remanded to His Majesty’s Prison.
The accused has been remanded into custody until he is able to meet the bail conditions.
The incident took place on 16 September, when a 38-year-old man was shot multiple times while sitting inside a parked car near Maranatha Methodist Church just after midday.
Witnesses told Anguilla Focus they heard about five gun shots in the vicinity of the dark purple Honda CR-V SUV on Blowing Point Road.
Police said the victim sustained several gunshot wounds and was taken from the scene for medical treatment. He remains in stable condition.
