Revenue from Anguilla’s .ai domain reached new heights in February generating a record EC$32.8 million for the government, according to the latest data.
Registrations of the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) through Identity Digital more than doubled compared with the same month last year, when $13 million was collected.
Meanwhile, the island’s payment for January totalled $25.5 million, another sharp increase from 2025 when the total for the month was $9.7 million.

Information technology minister Jose Vanterpool revealed the figures in a government press conference on 9 March.
“I am happy to report that there has continued to be strong performance and growth, with us seeing new record performance to date,” he said.
Vanterpool also released the final payment for December 2025, which was $19.8 million.
He stressed that the slight dip compared to the year’s monthly average was due to the closure of services across several registrars during the holidays.
Vanterpool said the data shows continued growth and performance of the .ai domain as the government continues to collaborate and engage on growth strategies with our Identity Digital.
He said one of such strategies is the ongoing planning of the first registrar conference, which is due to take place in Anguilla in the coming weeks.
The conference will bring together the top registrars that are responsible for selling the .ai domains to increase exposure to the island and to familiarise them with its story.
The event will also allow them to work more closely with the government to develop strategies to sustain and build on this growth while strengthening relationships, Vanterpool said.
In October, 2024, US company Identity Digital signed a memorandum of understanding with Anguilla’s government to manage the sale of .ai domain registrations for five years.
Representatives said they would be using their global registry management system to help reduce cybersecurity risks and protect the coveted domain’s reputation.
Former premier Ellis Webster said the company would charge a small percentage of the domain registration costs for the company’s services, but did not provide further details.
The .ai ccTLD officially migrated over to the company’s platform in January 2025.
