Anguilla company launches online booking platform for taxi and chauffeur services

An Anguilla company has launched a platform that allows residents and visitors to book and pay for licensed taxi and chauffeur services online.

RSVD | Transfers covers airport and ferry transfers, journeys to restaurants and trips to local attractions, with fares based on the island’s official taxi fare structure.

Clemvio Hodge, manager of What We Do In Anguilla, which developed the platform, said innovation and problem-solving have always been central to the company’s work.

“We are proud to introduce a digital solution that modernises transportation booking on the island,” Hodge, who also operates Quest Experiences tour company, said.

He added that it makes it easier for visitors and residents to access reliable services while empowering local transportation providers through technology.

According to a press release from the Anguilla Tourist Board on 16 October, there are many benefits for participating transportation providers.

Advanced reservations can reduce scheduling uncertainty, help drivers anticipate demand and support more predictable earning opportunities.

Jameel Rochester, tourism director at the Anguilla Tourist Board, said locally developed services like RSVD | Transfers show how digital innovation can benefit the island’s tourism industry.

“For our visitors and residents, it means being able to arrange transportation with greater confidence. For our taxi and chauffeur operators, it creates another way to reach customers and plan their business,” he said.

“That is the kind of practical progress we want to encourage and support.”

Bookings must be made at least two days in advance, with users selecting their pickup location, time and transfer type through an online form.

The platform offers one-way and return journeys, with options for airport and seaport transfers, restaurant visits and other activities.

Fares are calculated using Anguilla’s official taxi zone rates, with a 10% service fee added to the total.

The platform can be accessed through the What We Do In Anguilla website here.
