Anguilla nominated for Most Desirable Island in Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards

Anguilla has been nominated for Most Desirable Island (Worldwide) in the 2026 Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards.

Voting is open until 27 October, with the public invited to take part in an online ballot covering destinations, tour operators and travel brands.

The awards celebrate the best in travel and are decided by readers of Wanderlust, the UK’s longest-running travel magazine by circulation.

In 2025, more than 200,000 readers cast 4.9 million votes, with organisers expecting more than 250,000 to take part this year.

The Anguilla Tourist Board said the island is proud to be nominated, highlighting its blend of barefoot luxury, natural beauty, high-quality hospitality, rich culture and memorable experiences.

“Now, we invite you to be part of this exciting recognition and celebrate all that makes Anguilla truly extraordinary,” it said in a Facebook post.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in an “iconic London venue” on 4 November, following last year’s event at the National Gallery, Wanderlust said on its website.

“As the UK’s longest running and largest travel magazine by circulation, Wanderlust has been at the forefront of authentic, sustainable, and off-the-beaten-track travel for over 30 years,” it added.

“Through the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards, we hope to show our gratitude and support to those who represent the awe-inspiring, responsible travel, that our readers value.”
