The raids took place on 14 August at “several premises across the island”. Police have not revealed the exact locations.

Among the items recovered was a Floro MK-9 – a compact 9mm Philippine submachine gun for close-quarters combat – with 32 rounds.

Police also discovered a Beretta pistol – an Italian-made semi-automatic handgun – with 13 .380 rounds of ammunition, and an undisclosed quantity of cannabis.

Commissioner of Police Robert Clark reaffirmed the force’s commitment to reducing illegal firearms, ammunition, and drugs on the island.

“These seizures are the result of proactive policing and strong community support. Together, we will continue to make Anguilla a safer place,” he said in the press release.
