The Royal Anguilla Police Force arrested several people over the Easter weekend in connection with a range of criminal offences including drug and gun possession.
On Friday, 19 April, Shaquielle Charbonier, 19, of The Farrington was arrested and later charged for possession of a firearm and ammunition, and cultivation of cannabis.
He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded to prison on 22 April.
Also on 19 April, Wayne Curtis Hendrickson of North Side was arrested and later charged with possession of cannabis and cultivation of cannabis.
On 22 April, he was granted bail by the Magistrate’s Court in the sum of EC$40,000 with one surety.
His bail conditions included the immediate surrender of all travel documents to the court and prohibition from leaving Anguilla by any means without court permission.
In a separate incident, Shevaun Fleming, 30, of Island Harbour was charged with assault on a police officer on 19 April.
She was granted station bail in the sum of EC$10,000 with one surety.
On Monday, 21 April, a 19-year-old man from Island Harbour was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as threats to kill.
He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
Also on 21 April, a 39-year-old man from Island Harbour was arrested on suspicion of theft.
He remains in custody pending further investigation.
