Commissioner of Police Robert Clark called on the public to speak up and report suspicious activity as he announced the launch of a new domain for the confidential crime reporting website.
He said it has been a “traumatic first three months” for Anguilla with five murders being investigated since the beginning of the year and no charges laid to date.
“As we move into the second quarter of 2025, let’s stop what’s going on in Anguilla,” he said during a broadcast on Radio Anguilla on Monday, 14 April.
“Let’s get the guns off the street. Let’s put those responsible for the really serious crimes that are happening on this island where they belong, which is in HMP Anguilla.”
The police chief emphasised that this can only be achieved with the help of residents and visitors who come forward with any information related to violent crimes.
“This is about working in partnership with you, the community, to bring justice to those who have been so grievously hurt,” he said.
New website link
On Monday, 14 April, the Royal Anguilla Police Force launched an additional way to access its confidential crime reporting website, previously only available at www.gov.ai/911.
The public can now also visit the secure site using the domain name, secureaxa.com where they can leave an anonymous message, photo or video.
Information from the website is stored in a secure location in California and access to it is tightly controlled.
“We are trying to create ways that make this island safer. We are trying to create ways that give people on this island the confidence to come forward with the information that makes a difference,” Clark said.
“I will stress the confidentiality piece again – if you don’t put any details, simply the information, that’s fine we’ve no way of tracking you. This is secure.”
He added: “We really do encourage you to go to this site, and pass on what you know.”
