In a first-time collaboration, the Moonsplash festival team joined forces with South Valley’s popular Fish Fry to showcase Anguilla’s flavours, music and culture.
Known for its lively and friendly atmosphere, the all-day event on Saturday, 31 January, offered fresh food, refreshing drinks and plenty of spirited conversation.
DJ Chuchu played live tunes throughout the day, giving attendees a sample of what they can expect at Bankie Banx’s music festival at The Dune on 6, 7 and 8 March.

By mid-afternoon, the food had sold out, but guests later returned from Island Harbour with lobsters, crayfish and crab, allowing the festivities to continue.
“South Valley does that to you. It pulls you in, wraps you in its energy and somehow convinces everyone to stay just a little longer,” one of the organisers said following the event.

The Fish Fry, which launched in October 2025 after the annual South Valley Community Street Festival, has taken place every other Saturday ‘under the almond tree’.
Each event relies on residents who cook, serve and sell food as well as perform music to raise funds aimed at making next year’s festival even larger and more ambitious.
The next Fish Fry takes place on Saturday, 14 February, from 11am and is themed the ‘Fish Fry of Love’ for Valentine’s Day.
“Every plate comes with a full meal and your choice of fried fish, seasoned heavy and cooked with straight island passion,” organisers said in a Facebook post.
“Pull up with your boo, your crew or just your appetite. Good vibes, big flavours and love in every bite.”
