Thirty-eight-year-old Jamel Richardson of South Hill has been granted EC$60,000 bail after being charged with two driving offences.
He is accused of dangerous driving and driving under the influence of alcohol following an incident in Little Harbour on 16 March.
He appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on 17 March where he was granted bail with conditions including that he must adhere to a curfew, maintain good behaviour, and refrain from committing further offences.
A statement from the Royal Anguilla Police Force on 18 March urged all motorists to act responsibly on the roads.
“Driving under the influence of alcohol puts lives at risk and is a serious offence,” it read.
“Always designate a sober driver or seek alternative transportation if you have been drinking. Safety on our roads is everyone’s responsibility.”
