The government has released a video walkthrough of the new multi-million dollar terminal at Clayton J Lloyd International Airport in Anguilla.
The visual tour blends real footage of ongoing construction with a detailed digital rendering, offering a preview of the completed 4,650 square-metre building.
The video was posted on the government’s Facebook page on 9 February, along with a statement which said progress is being made at the site.
“The new Clayton J Lloyd International Airport terminal building is taking shape and the most recent walkthrough gives you a full feel of the space,” it reads.
“The superstructure is on pace and signs point to no delays on the horizon.”
St Kitts and Nevis construction company Kelly Construction and Aecon Group based in North America were awarded the contract to build the new terminal.
The groundbreaking for the structure took place in March, 2024, and construction work began in April the same year.
Just last week, infrastructure minister Haydn Hughes said the new airport terminal is expected to be fully operational by November this year.
It is part of a EC$473 million airport project, which includes expansion of the runway and apron, envisioned in the government’s Airport Masterplan 2022-2041.
Upon completion of the new terminal, the old terminal will be demolished to make way for further apron expansion.
