The De Wizard team seized first place in the Johnno’s and 18 Degrees Easter Warm Up A-Class boat race on Sunday, 13 April.
It marked the first of 13 races for Anguilla’s largest and fastest traditional wooden sailboats during this year’s sailboat racing season.
The A-Class boats are at least 28 feet long, are crewed by up to a dozen sailors, and are known for their speed and competitiveness.

Spectators lined the shore at Sandy Ground to cheer on the teams as they battled shifting winds and tight turns in a high-stakes contest of skill and strategy.
The race was a thrilling display of teamwork and tactical precision, with each crew pushing their boat to the limit as they vied for victory.
Light and Peace claimed second place, followed by Real Deal in third, De Chan in fourth, and Satellite in fifth.
