Daily Cape Air service keeps Anguilla connected to wider Caribbean network

Daily Cape Air flights between Anguilla and St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands are set to continue this summer, preserving a key regional travel link.

The non-stop route, with a flight time of about one hour, connects Clayton J Lloyd International Airport (AXA) and Cyril E King International Airport (STT).

It allows Anguilla’s residents to easily visit other islands in the airline’s network including Tortola, St Croix, Nevis, San Juan, St Barts and St Kitts.

Travellers to the island from more distant locations – particularly the United States – will also maintain the benefits of the airline’s extensive network of airline partnerships.

Cape Air holds ticketing and baggage agreements with major carriers including American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, United Airlines and Alaska Airlines.

Since launching in November 2024, the service has run throughout the year on a daily schedule, offering continuity for residents, visitors and business travellers.

At the time of the launch, Linda Markham, former CEO and president of Cape Air, said the company was excited to offer passengers a direct gateway to Anguilla.

“This new year-round service reflects our commitment to providing exceptional travel options and connects our passengers to one of the most stunning destinations in the Caribbean,” she said.

“Whether it’s for a relaxing beach getaway or a business retreat, Anguilla has something for everyone.

“In addition, we are ever mindful of our important role in connecting the peoples of Anguilla and St Thomas with their home islands.”

Cape Air has built its reputation on short-haul regional flying, with origins dating back to 1989 when it began service between Boston and Provincetown.

Since then, the airline has expanded across the United States and Caribbean, operating in a range of markets where frequent, reliable service is essential.

Today, the carrier operates a fleet that includes Cessna 402 aircraft, Britten-Norman Islanders and Tecnam P2012 Travellers, supporting high-frequency operations on short services.

Flights between Anguilla and St Thomas starting from US$329 and can be purchased here or by calling 1-800-CAPE-AIR.
