Under-15 boys gain valuable experience in Dominica football friendlies

Anguilla’s under-15 boys team flew to Dominica last weekend for two international friendlies – crucial fixtures under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS).

The first match ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw, reflecting the young squad’s growing confidence, composure and competitive spirit.

Match two proved more challenging, with the team falling 5-0 in a tough test of focus, resilience and teamwork.

But the experience offered much more than match statistics – it strengthened discipline, provided valuable lessons and deepened the players’ understanding of high-level regional play.

In a social media statement, the Anguilla Football Association (AFA) praised the boys for their determination and progress.

“Through the TDS, we are committed to building a strong foundation for the future of Anguilla football, and that means giving our players every opportunity to grow against regional competition,” the AFA added.

Officials extended their gratitude to the Dominica Football Association for its warm hospitality and partnership, noting that connections made through sport are just as important as the matches themselves.

These fixtures are part of a long-term strategy to build a solid foundation for the future of Anguilla football.
