Anguilla Football Association acquires new fleet of vehicles

The Anguilla Football Association (AFA) has acquired a new fleet of four vehicles to support the diverse transportation needs of the national programme.

The move comes following the completion of the National Team Vehicle Project, a strategic initiative aimed at improving the logistical efficiency and overall operational capacity of the association.

According to a press release on 10 June, the project marks a significant step forward in building a more resilient and professional football infrastructure in Anguilla.

The fleet includes a Hyundai coach, two Hyundai i20 sedans and a Hyundai Tucson SUV.

The 28-seater coach is designed to comfortably and efficiently transport players, coaching staff and equipment to training sessions, matches and official engagements.

“This investment not only enhances team cohesion but also supports safe, timely and unified group travel, essential for high-performance environments,” the press release said.

The two small fuel-efficient sedans have been added to the fleet to serve the day-to-day transport needs of AFA staff and support personnel.

They provide a cost-effective solution for short-distance travel, errands and logistical tasks, reducing reliance on personal vehicles and rentals.

The mid-size SUV has been selected for its comfort, reliability and adaptability. It will be used for hosting visiting dignitaries, and transporting small delegations.

AFA president Girdon Connor said the investment is a key component of the association’s continued growth and modernisation.

“Reliable transportation is crucial for everything from player development and team unity to administrative effectiveness,” he said.

“This fleet allows us to deliver on our goals and uphold the highest standards of performance and professionalism.”
