Professional and family caregivers in Anguilla are invited to take part in a free two-day training session aimed at strengthening the quality of care they can provide.
The Ministry of Health is hosting the ‘Safe and Compassionate Caregiving Training for Caregivers’ from 9am to 4pm on 8 and 9 April.
The training will take place at the Raymond E Guishard Technical Centre and early registration is encouraged because places are limited.
A press release from the ministry said: “This essential training is designed to equip caregivers with the necessary skills to provide safe, effective and compassionate care to patients.”
Attendees will receive hands-on knowledge and practical guidance in key caregiving areas, including:
- Infection prevention
- Hand hygiene
- Documentation
- Body mechanics and patient mobility
- Safe feeding techniques and nutritional care
- Pressure area care and skin health
- Blood pressure monitoring
