Anguilla was featured on a popular Canadian television show earlier this month, in a segment that showcased its high-end hotels, pristine beaches and relaxing atmosphere.
Travel and lifestyle editor Jennifer Weatherhead Harrington was filmed enjoying many of the island’s luxury amenities including fine dining and spas.
She discussed her favourite attractions on the ‘Morning Live’ show on CHCH-TV on 3 January, calling it a “really special island”.
“Anguilla might not be on everyone’s radar, it might be one of those lesser known islands, but that’s what adds to its charm, and to its appeal,” she said.
Weatherhead Harrington described it as being quite easy to get to, but the perfect place for those looking to relax and unwind due to its peace and tranquility.
“You’re not going to get any cruise ships here, there are no all-inclusives, it’s a very boutique kind of feeling – very calm and relaxed,” she added.
“They’re really, really well known for that privacy. A lot of celebrities go here because of that. The other thing is that they’re really known for their beaches.”
She said anyone that visits will feel like they are on their own private island because they are unlikely to have to share beaches with many other people.
Weatherhead Harrington mentioned some of her favourite spots and said that visitors will be spoilt for choice.
