The Royal Anguilla Police Force has launched its annual raffle offering residents the chance to win an impressive set of prizes.
The top prize winner will get 0.25 acres of land in Welches, the second prize is a new Hyundai Creta car, and third prize is $600 in cash.
Tickets, priced at $25 each, are available for purchase from the police headquarters or any police officer across the island.
The raffle draw will take place during Police Week 2025, from 25 January to 1 February.
The Anguilla House of Assembly approved a motion for the waiver of customs tax and excise duty on the import of the prize car on 17 December.
This will result in a loss to the government of EC$12,582.85.
On presenting the motion, Premier Ellis Webster said he hopes the public will buy raffle tickets from the police force “because they certainly continue to take care of us and have kept us safe”.
“And now we should ensure that we support them throughout Police Week 2025 and support them throughout the year… we should show appreciation,” he added.
