Premier Ellis Webster will deliver his budget address in the Anguilla House of Assembly on Monday, 9 December, outlining the government’s financial priorities for the upcoming year.
The address, taking place from 2pm, will provide insight into planned expenditures, revenue strategies, and initiatives aimed at addressing the island’s economic challenges and development goals.
Parliamentary proceedings will resume on Tuesday, 10 December, from 10am, and budget debates will take place on Wednesday, 11 December and Friday, 13 December from 9am,
These offer members of the Anguilla House of Assembly an opportunity to discuss and scrutinise the government’s proposed financial plans.
During a government press conference on 2 December, Webster, who also serves as finance minister, encouraged the public to attend his budget address.
“I’m inviting everyone to show up so you can hear what the government’s plans are for the coming year in terms of the budget,” he said.
“This is the prudent use of the people’s purse, and the people should be here. If you can’t be there in person and listen on the radio stations and the different social media platforms.”
