The Royal Anguilla Police Force has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Police Service of Northern Ireland to strengthen cooperation and enhance information sharing.
A Royal Anguilla Police Force spokesperson explained in a statement that the agreement, signed on 7 November, aligns with the United Kingdom’s Home Office strategy for overseas territory support.
It also follows the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s guidance on fostering cooperation with the UK’s overseas territories, they said.
“While not legally binding, it represents a strong commitment to sharing expertise and overcoming challenges together,” the spokesperson continued.
Among those in attendance at the signing were Anguilla’s Commissioner of Police Robert Clark and Sergeant Jody-Ann Dunn, a Chevening scholar who is studying in the UK.
“This milestone highlights the importance of growth, professional development, and teamwork,” the statement said.
“We are excited to work closely with the Police Service of Northern Ireland, strengthening our capabilities and building a safer future for Anguilla.”
