Island Harbour man, 67, charged with illegal gun possession

A 67-year-old man from Island Harbour has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Glenville Hodge Senior appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 14 October, where he was granted bail in the sum of EC$268,820 with one surety.

The charge is in relation to the discovery of a firearm and ammunition during police traffic checks on the eastern side of Anguilla on Friday, 11 October.

“Keen work by officers of the Royal Anguilla Police Force Tactical Unit led to the discovery,” a police press release said.

It added: “The RAPF strongly condemns illegal firearms and ammunition and is continuing to take proactive steps to address this issue.”
