In a press release general manager Diego Stembert said: “As we celebrate a decade as a Four Seasons destination, Chef Fest Anguilla is a natural expression of what has always set this resort apart.

“Dining has long been central to the guest experience in Anguilla, and this festival brings together exceptional culinary talent from across the region and beyond.

“It’s an opportunity to celebrate the creativity, cultural exchange and sense of community that make Anguilla one of the Caribbean’s most exciting destinations for food lovers.”

Participating chefs include India Doris, who leads the kitchen at New York restaurant Markette, which combines European influences with Caribbean flavours.

Doris draws on her Caribbean heritage and experience cooking across Europe, with a menu centred on seasonal ingredients and shareable dishes.

She will be joined by Manu Calderon, former executive chef at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla, who now leads the kitchen at Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia.

Other visiting chefs include Claudio Gumbs of Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta and Telharsha Smithen of Four Seasons Resort Nevis.

The resort’s own culinary team will also take part, with chefs Aaron Gumbs, Tre Niles, Jomar Timpug, Jorge Lopez De Lira and Lashanda Davis supporting the festival.

The festival will begin on 13 November, with a ticketed welcome event featuring chef tasting stations, canapés, cocktails and live entertainment. A portion of the proceeds will go to local charities.

The programme on 14 November will include chef demonstrations, tastings, ingredient showcases and restaurant takeovers, with participating chefs appearing at the resort’s dining venues.

The festival will conclude on 15 November with an interactive brunch featuring all of the participating chefs.

The events will take place across the resort’s five dining locations – Salt, Lima-Limon, Bamboo Bar and Grill, Café Nai and Sunset Lounge.

The property first opened as Viceroy Anguilla in August 2009 before being relaunched under Four Seasons management in October 2016.
