Anguilla’s tourism industry continued to break records in June, with visitor arrivals 41.3% higher than the same month last year.
This follows record-breaking performances every month from January to May, together marking the highest first-half total since records began in 1993.
The Anguilla Statistics Department recorded 29,325 arrivals in January, 27,365 in February, 33,327 in March, 28,145 in April and 26,143 in May.

In the latest published data, statisticians revealed that the island welcomed 26,838 arrivals in June – an increase of nearly 8,000 compared to 18,992 in 2025.
Of those, 22,111 arrived by sea while 4,727 came by air. Overall arrivals – which included both visitors and returning residents – reached 34,388.
The figures – which totalled 171,143 visitor arrivals in the first half – come following a record 2025 of 229,734 visitors through the island’s air and sea ports.
Stay-over vs day trippers
An increase in both day trippers and stay-over visitors accounted for the overall rise in June. Day trip visitors represented the larger share of visitor arrivals at 58.8%.
Day trip visitors to Anguilla totalled 15,771 in June – an increase of 71.5% over 2025 when 9,194 visitors were recorded.
Most came from the USA at 12,728 or 80.7%, with 701 or 4.4% and 612 or 3.9% from the ‘Other European’ (not UK, Italy or Germany) and Canadian source markets.
Meanwhile, tourists who stayed over for at least one night in Anguilla in June totalled 11,067 – an increase of 13% from 9,798 in 2025. The average length of stay in both years stayed the same at 6.2 days.
The highest number of stay-over visitors in June – 8,746 or 79% – came from the United States, and increase of 16.6% compared to 2025.
The remaining visitors came from the ‘Caribbean’ and ‘Other’ source markets at 659 or 6% and 382 or 3.5%.
‘A new record’
Speaking in a press release on 14 September, tourism minister Cardigan Connor highlighted the significance of the results for Anguilla’s tourism sector.
“Anguilla’s first-half performance shows that the momentum established in the first quarter continued through June, with every month setting a new stay-over record,” he said.
“Stay-over growth is especially important because its benefits reach accommodations, restaurants, transportation providers, tour operators, retailers and stakeholders across our communities.
He praised the Anguilla Tourist Board leadership team, headed by tourism director Jameel Rochester, along with industry partners and tourism workers, for their continued efforts in delivering the results.
Anguilla recently recorded another tourism record, with the number of aircraft arrivals and departures in August increasing 38% compared with the same month last year.
