Queen Roxxy has successfully defended her title as Anguilla’s Senior Calypso Monarch, taking the 2026 crown after a night of fierce competition.
She claimed the win with 828 points, ahead of Singing Vero, Mighty Springer and Queen B, who placed second, third and fourth respectively with 813, 799 and 793 points.
Also awarded prizes were Mr Decent with ‘First Calypsonian to Release’ and Hitman who won the title of ‘Most Humorous Calypso’.

The Brother Lee Senior Calypso Monarch 2026 competition took place at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre on 6 August.
In a Facebook post on 7 August, the Anguilla Summer Festival team described an “unforgettable night” with “powerful lyrics, exceptional performances and fierce competition from start to finish”.
“The Calypso Monarch competition was nothing short of explosive, showcasing the heart, culture, and storytelling that make calypso such a treasured art form.
“Congratulations to every calypsonian who took the stage and kept the spirit of calypso alive.”
On 10 August, the Senior Calypso Monarch Subcommittee issued a statement apologising for initially failing to publish the complete official results, including the accompanying scores.
“The subcommittee recognises the importance of transparency and the timely communication of complete competition results,” it read.
“Particularly to the artistes who dedicated significant time, effort and preparation to their performances, as well as to the wider public who continues to support the calypso art form.
“We regret any confusion or concern that may have resulted from this oversight and assure all stakeholders that the omission was unintentional.”
The subcommittee thanked the calypsonians, judges, officials, patrons and supporters and congratutlated the participants.
