Haiti delivered a dominant performance to defeat Anguilla 5-0 in the latest Concacaf W Qualifiers, maintaining pressure across both halves.

Anguilla goalkeeper Esther Ward was called into action repeatedly and produced several key saves to limit the damage, but Haiti continued to press.

Their third goal came in the 33rd minute, with Sherly Jeudy striking from outside the box to give her side a 3-0 advantage at the break.

Haiti maintained their intensity in the second half and extended their lead on the hour mark. Darlina Joseph added her second of the night, heading home from a Chelsea Domond cross.

The final goal arrived in the 79th minute, shortly after Claire Constant entered the match as a substitute. She made an immediate impact, heading in from close range following a set-piece to seal the 5-0 result.

Despite the scoreline, Anguilla showed resilience defensively, with multiple blocks from players including Reba Stott, Cycoiah Wattley and Coleen Johnson, while Ward continued to deny several efforts on goal.

The closing stages saw further pressure from Haiti, who forced a series of corners and blocked attempts, but Anguilla held on to prevent additional goals.

In a Facebook post, the Anguilla Football Association (AFA) said while the result did not go their way, they remain proud of  the team for their “effort, heart, and determination on the field”.

“Every match is part of the journey, and this team continues to grow stronger with each experience. Heads up, ladies, keep believing, keep pushing and keep representing Anguilla with pride,” the AFA said.

Anguilla now sits last in Group D after three matches in the Concacaf W Qualifiers with no points and a -15 goal difference. The team will face Belize at the FFB Stadium on Monday, 13 April.
