Law enforcement veteran Haslyn Patterson has been officially appointed as the deputy commissioner of the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
A congratulatory statement on the police Facebook page on 13 September, said: “This well-deserved promotion is a true testament to his hard work and professionalism.”
It spoke of the former acting deputy commissioner’s “unwavering dedication, outstanding leadership, and commitment to the force” which have been evident throughout his career.
“We are confident that under his guidance, the Royal Anguilla Police Force will continue to thrive as we work together to keep Anguilla safe.
“Once again, congratulations, Deputy Commissioner Patterson. We look forward to supporting you in this exciting new chapter.”
The new deputy police chief, who took on the role on 10 September, has served with the Royal Anguilla Police Force for over 30 years.
Thirteen of those years were spent in the Criminal Investigations Department and another 11 years as a crime scene officer.
Over the course of his distinguished career, he has worked in all departments within the force and has been acting as deputy commissioner of police since 2023.
