260 acres on Anguilla’s south coast to be auctioned from US$31.8 million

Just over 260 acres of land on the south coast of Anguilla will be going up for auction at the end of this month – with a reserve price close to US$32 million.

The combined lot, which features 98 parcels, is located near Auntie Dol Bay – east of Forest Bay and Tanglewood, and west of Long Pond.

It is made up firstly of parcels 160 to 256 – a continuous stretch of undeveloped land of about 35.48 acres with varying sizes, shapes, slopes and orientations.

The land rises from near sea level to about 70 feet above sea level before descending again.

It also includes the large parcel 257 which consists of about 225.37 acres of land including registered rights of way serving the other parcels.

There is a restaurant currently using a three acre plot towards the southwest of the parcel. The auction listing does not provide details on the terms of its use.

This general location of the lot is east of the Clayton J Lloyd International Airport with some of the parcels in the flight path for takeoff and landing.

The Government of Anguilla has expressed interest in acquiring about 43.50 acres of parcel 257.

The auction, scheduled for 27 February, will be conducted by Orion Credit Management. The lot has a reserve price of US$31,873,450.
