On Friday, 21 November, the inaugural flight was greeted with a water salute and traditional dance followed by a welcome ceremony led by St Kitts and Nevis tourism officials.

Tourism minister Marsha Henderson told attendees: “Today marks a transformative moment for St Kitts as we expand the pathways that connect our people, our culture, and our economy to the wider Caribbean.
“The introduction of this new Anguilla Air Services flight is more than the launch of a route – it is an investment in opportunity.”
Also joining the flight was Jameel Rochester, tourism director at the Anguilla Tourist Board, who thanked the St Kitts and Nevis government for embracing the opportunity.
In a press release later the same day, he said: “Intra-regional airlift is vital to social and economic stability of our islands.
“We commend Anguilla Air Services for this important investment in regional connectivity and welcome the opportunities it will create for our residents, our tourism sectors and our wider economies.”
Anguilla Air Services in a Facebook post said the first flight marked a “proud milestone”, adding it is “another beautiful link in the chain that brings our islands, our people, and our stories closer together”.

“From the breathtaking views as you lift off from Anguilla to the warm embrace of St. Kitts awaiting your arrival, this service is more than a flight, it’s a bridge.
“A bridge for families, for business, for culture, for adventure, and for the continued strengthening of ties within our beloved region.”
The airline said travellers now have a faster, smoother and more enjoyable way to commute between the two vibrant destinations.
“Whether you’re exploring heritage sites, engaging in regional commerce, visiting loved ones or simply landing for leisure, we’re honoured to be part of your journey.”
