All campuses of Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School have been placed on lockdown and the gates secured as police investigate a reported threat.

The Department of Education issued a statement at 11.52am on Monday, 10 November, to announce the “precautionary measure”.

It said the Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) is actively addressing the situation, and added that there has been “no incidence of violence”.

The department asked all stakeholders to remain calm, and for parents, guardians and the public to refrain from attempting to enter any of the campuses until the all-clear is given.

“We understand that this may be a distressing time, and we are committed to keeping you informed,” the department said.

“Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available and once the situation has been resolved.”
