Anguilla Social Security Board releases calypso and reggae public awareness jingles

The Anguilla Social Security Board has released two catchy jingles – in the style of calypso and reggae – as part of its new public awareness campaign.

The music was revealed during the soft launch of the board’s three year campaign titled, ‘Your contributions benefit you’, on 3 November.

Both of the jingles aim to engage the public while highlighting the importance of social security contributions and the benefits they provide.

The launch also featured the digital unveiling of the campaign billboard and brief remarks from the board’s acting director, chair and PR committee chair.

Relations officer Rosanna Browne gave an overview of the campaign, explaining its purpose, and connection to the 45th anniversary theme.

She spoke about how it will combine mass media and community outreach to help more Anguillians understand that social security is an investment in their future.

It was developed under the Joint SDG Fund project ‘Resilient Caribbean’ with support from the International Labour Organization, UNICEF, the World Food Programme and UNESCO.

The campaign launch was held during Social Security Week 2025 which began on 2 November with a day of worship and thanksgiving at the Ebenezer Methodist Church.

The Anguilla Social Security Board then celebrated 45 years since the passage of the Social Security Act on 3 November under the theme, ’45 years of empowering generations for a better future’.

Details of upcoming events, including the planting of a tree, a radio show safari and soca sip and paint, can be found here.
