Next spring Southwest Airlines will be adding new routes from the United States to Sint Maarten – a key connecting hub for tourists travelling onward to Anguilla.
The Dutch Caribbean territory is the US low cost carrier’s first new international destination since 2021, a press release said on 26 August.
The non-stop flights will operate from both Orlando International Airport (MCO) in Florida and Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) in Maryland.
They will arrive at Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM) in Sint Maarten, providing convenient connections for travellers heading onward to Anguilla and other Caribbean destinations.

The daily roundtrip flight from Orlando will begin on 7 April 2026, with twice weekly Saturday and Sunday roundtrip services from Baltimore launching two days later.
Anyone wishing to connect to Anguilla can do so via the daily ferry services or flights from SXM to Clayton J Lloyd International Airport (AXA).
Meanwhile, Anguillians residents can use the flights to connect from Orlando or Baltimore/Washington to more than 45 other airports in the US.
The routes will even further enhance connectivity to Anguilla, following BermudAir’s summer announcement of new AnguillAir services from Newark, Boston and Baltimore to AXA.
