Ferry services

Ferries from Sint Maarten and St Martin to Anguilla run frequently throughout the day, connecting the two islands in under an hour.

High‑speed shuttles from the airport mean you can land at Princess Juliana International Airport and step onto a boat minutes later – a seamless transfer from plane to sea.

Alternatively, from the French side you can catch the regular public ferry from Marigot Port, providing a cost‑effective sea route straight to Anguilla.

Cruise ships

Cruise‑ship visitors can reach Anguilla via several small and luxury cruise liners that call at the island’s port from time to time.

One notable recent arrival was Explora I – the first of its kind to visit Anguilla on 27 December 2024 – a visit hailed as a milestone for the island’s aspiration to develop luxury cruise tourism.

According to recent port‑schedules, SeaDream II, Star Flyer (under Star Clippers), Wind Surf (under Windstar Cruises) and multiple sailings by Explora Journeys are scheduled to call through late 2025 and into early 2026.

Because cruise‑visit schedules are not yet as frequent or as predictable as for major cruise‑destination islands, it’s wise for travellers to check up‑to-date port timetables before planning a trip.

If you’re a visitor arriving by ship, this can be a fantastic way to experience Anguilla for a day or more, with easy access to beaches, local restaurants and the island’s relaxed coastal vibe.
