Ten companies in Anguilla have been selected to receive a share of EC$100,000 through the government’s micro and small business grant programme.
Each successful applicant will receive up to $10,000 to cover costs such as staff training and development, new technology, marketing and product development.
During a press conference on 10 November, economic development minister Kyle Hodge said 38 businesses had applied in September, and the successful applicants had been notified on 7 November.

He acknowledged those who missed out, adding: “We continue to encourage them because we know that, as a small business operating in Anguilla, it can become challenging.”
The minister revealed that the grant process will reopen in March 2026.
Hodge first announced the grant programme during a press conference on 26 May during which he encouraged eligible business owners to apply.
At the time he said to qualify, a business must be wholly owned by an Anguillian permanent resident for at least three years and be based in Anguilla.
Existing businesses must be registered and hold a valid business licence. They must also be classified as micro or small enterprises.
Micro businesses have one to five employees and an annual turnover under $100,000, while small businesses have six to ten employees and an annual turnover between $100,000 and $250,000.
