A 35-year-old man from Sandy Hill charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor has been granted bail in the sum of EC$75,000.
He appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 16 January, for a bail hearing, according to a press release from the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
His bail conditions are to surrender his passport forthwith and not apply for any other travel documents during these proceedings and to not to leave the jurisdiction by any means without the court’s permission.
The accused also cannot have any contact, directly or indirectly, with the victim, must adhere to a daily curfew, be of good behaviour and not commit any breaches of the peace or other offences.
To protect the minor, the press release said the identity of the suspect will not be disclosed.
