Royal Anguilla Police Force signs MoU with His Majesty’s Prison

Representatives from the Royal Anguilla Police Force and His Majesty’s Prison have signed a revised memorandum of understanding to enhance collaboration.

The agreement establishes clear procedures for police interviews with inmates and outlines the assistance the police force will provide to the prison.

It also sets protocols for responding to crimes within the facility, ensuring a structured approach to maintaining safety and good order, and talks about how information will be shared.

Commissioner of Police Robert Clark and Kerrice Saunders, Superintendent of HM Prison, formally ratified the agreement on 29 January.

A statement from the police said: “This vital collaboration ensures clarity in how we work together to enhance security and rehabilitation efforts. A positive step forward in strengthening our partnership.”

By clarifying roles and responsibilities, the MoU aims to minimise risks, support effective prison management, and enhance overall security in Anguilla.
