Raphael T Lake Road will be closed to traffic for about four weeks starting on Tuesday, 10 June, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The closure is to allow for critical road works connected to the ongoing construction of the new terminal building at Clayton J Lloyd International Airport.
Officials from the ministry said the project is part of broader efforts to enhance the road network and support long-term improvements to the island’s aviation infrastructure.
A press release on 6 June said work includes paving and realigning the affected section of road to improve access and safety for vehicles.
A partial sidewalk will also be built to improve pedestrian safety and walkability in the terminal area.

Drainage systems will be installed to reduce water build-up and the risk of flooding during heavy rainfall.
Drivers are urged to follow posted signage and temporary traffic arrangements during the construction period.
A ministry spokesperson thanked the public for their cooperation as the work is carried out.
A statement from the Royal Anguilla Police Force urged all motorists and stakeholders to follow posted traffic signs and exercise patience during this period.
“Your cooperation ensures smoother operations and safer roads for everyone,” it read.
