Two weeks after 31-year-old Rashe Hodge was killed in a shooting in West End, the Royal Anguilla Police Force has issued a fresh appeal for information.
The appeal is centred on a dark coloured Toyota Corolla, registration number PG 163, which was used in the murder and later recovered.
The vehicle was found to be missing from the owner’s home in the Tanglewood Road area at about 7.30am on 9 May. It is believed to have be stolen at about 3am the day prior.
According to a police press release on 23 May, it left the scene of the homicide with considerable collision damage and had a smashed windscreen.
The Toyota was found abandoned in a bushy area nearby at about 12pm the same afternoon.
Sightings
Police are seeking anyone who may have seen the car between the early hours of 8 May and its recovery on 9 May.
“Any information, no matter how minor it may seem, could be critical in helping us trace the movements of those responsible and bring them to justice,” the police press release said.

“We continue to urge members of the public to report what they know.
“Whether they observed the vehicle parked in an unusual location, noticed anyone behaving suspiciously around it, or captured dash cam or surveillance footage that may show the car in transit.”
On 16 May, officers stopped about 500 vehicles and pedestrians travelling past the location of the incident to seek information on the car and incident.
West End shooting
At about 11.15am on 9 May, police received a report of an incident on Hubert Benjamin Hughes Drive between the NCBA West bank and Hughes Medical Centre.
Police officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene where Hodge from The Farrington was found to be lying motionless on the road.
In a press conference on 10 May, Commissioner of Police Robert Clark said it initially appeared to have been a road traffic collision.

“It became very quickly clear that it was not a collision, but had been an attack on a male on a scooter who had been shot a number of times and fatally wounded at the scene,” Clark said.
He explained that the area was cordoned off, detectives and scenes of crime officers visited the scene and recovered a number of items for forensic examination including several spent gun shells.
