Police launch WhatsApp channel to boost public communication

The Royal Anguilla Police Force has launched an official WhatsApp channel to enhance transparency and communication with the public.

Real-time updates, safety tips, and community news will be sent directly to the mobile phones of followers.

A police press statement on 14 April encouraged members of the public in Anguilla to follow the channel to stay connected.

“This initiative is part of our continued commitment to transparency, accessibility, and strengthening community engagement through modern, reliable communication platforms,” it read.

WhatsApp is a free and secure app used worldwide for voice and video calling, and sending messages, photos and videos.

A WhatsApp channel allows organisations to send one-way broadcasts to followers, keeping them informed without cluttering their personal chats.

Those without WhatsApp can download the app for free on their device’s app store. Then to follow the Royal Anguilla Police Force channel, click here.
