Mini-pitches are being built at two primary schools in Anguilla to provide students and the wider community with space for recreation and physical activity.
The new sporting facilities will be located at Vivien Vanterpool Primary School in Island Harbour and Valley Primary School in The Valley.
The government, through a contractor, is currently carrying out the preparatory work and installation of the sub-base at both sites.

Following completion of the groundwork, FIFA, in collaboration with the Anguilla Football Association, will oversee the installation of the turf.
Jeison Bryan, ministerial assistant for sports, youth and culture, visited the Vivien Vanterpool Primary School site on 11 September as excavation began.
“This one is on a smaller scale compared to the main turf field that’s in The Valley. The main purpose of the field is for the school to use it, as well as the community for sports purposes,” he said.
“We look forward to the advancement of this project,” he said, adding that heavy equipment was being used to excavate and prepare the field.
Bryan also visited Valley Primary School at the end of August as the initial works, including preparation of the sub-base, got underway.
During a government press conference on 20 July, Bryan had said he hoped the pitches would be completed before the start of football season.
