He was taken into custody and later charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and being armed with an offensive weapon.

The accused appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 6 October, for a bail application but his request was denied, a police press release said on 6 October.

He has been remanded to His Majesty’s Prison in The Valley where he will await his next court appearance.

In October 2024, the police press office told Anguilla Focus that an operational decision had been made to withhold the dates of upcoming court appearances.

The decision reduces risks to the judicial process and the safety of those involved, preventing potential attacks or disruptions during court proceedings, police said.
