Jasmin Ruan wins Miss Anguilla 2025 crown with ‘grace and eloquence’

Jasmin Ruan captivated the judges and audience alike to earn the title of Miss Anguilla 2025 at this year’s Summer Festival pageant.

Five contestants competed under the theme, ‘She who believes, ultimately reigns’, in the spectacular show at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre on 5 August.

Ruan, whose platform was marine conservation and sustainable development, delivered a poised and powerful performance that secured her the coveted crown.

A spokesperson from the Miss Anguilla Pageant on 6 August said: “Jasmin, your unwavering commitment, grace and eloquence were nothing short of extraordinary on the grand stage last evening.”

Ariel Bushay was named first runner-up, and Jordia Hodge took second runner-up.

Jordia Hodge won ‘Best Introductory Speech’,  ‘Best Swimsuit’, ‘Best National Wear’, ‘Best Talent’ and ‘Best Evening Wear Presentation’.

“Your remarkable talent, poise and perseverance illuminated the evening and left an indelible impression on all who witnessed your journey,” the spokesperson told them.

The statement also paid tribute to Xaria Rouse and Thalia Hinds “whose passion, dedication and individuality enriched this year’s pageant”.

“Each of you exemplified courage and purpose, embodying the essence of empowerment and personal growth that the Miss Anguilla platform represents,” the spokesperson said.

“Together, you have set a resounding example of excellence, inspiring us all to pursue our aspirations with confidence and determination.”

A spokesperson for the Anguilla Summer Festival also shared a celebratory message on 6 August following the event.

They gave a “heartfelt salute” to Ruan, adding: “You graced the stage with elegance, strength and unwavering belief in your purpose.”

They added: “To first runner-up Ariel Bushay and second runner-up Jordia Hodge – your radiance, resilience and representation were nothing short of regal.

“You each brought your own magic and left an unforgettable mark.

“Thank you for reminding us that belief, beauty, and brilliance walk hand in hand. The crown sits on one head, but all three of you are queens in our eyes.”
