A new direct air route linking Anguilla and the British Virgin Islands is set to launch this month.
Trans Anguilla Airways will begin operating flights between Clayton J Lloyd International Airport (AXA) and Terrance B Lettsome International Airport (EIS) in Tortola from 17 April.
The service will run three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays – with a flight time of about 45 minutes.

It removes the need for travellers to transit through St Maarten, offering a more direct connection for both leisure and business passengers.
Tourism director Jameel Rochester said: “Improved regional connectivity is essential to strengthening Anguilla’s tourism performance, particularly during the shoulder and summer periods.
“The new direct service between Anguilla and Tortola by Trans Anguilla Airways enhances ease of access and creates a timely gateway for visitors to experience the culture, heritage, music and culinary richness that define summer in Anguilla.”
The route comes at a key moment as Anguilla prepares for its summer calendar of events, which plays a central role in attracting visitors during the shoulder season.
Among the highlights are the high-end dining showcase, Anguilla Culinary Experience, and the island’s flagship carnival, Anguilla Summer Festival.
In a press release on 9 April, the Anguilla Tourist Board said improved regional access is central to its strategy to support wider Caribbean tourism growth and multi-island itineraries.
Introductory fares for the new route have been set at US$209 one way and US$418 return.
