Department of Sports welcomes new facilities manager

Aedan Scipio has been appointed as the new facilities manager in the Department of Sports, tasked with overseeing the maintenance and operations of Anguilla’s sports venues.

According to a Facebook post from the department, Scipio holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Business and brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

He worked for over a decade in key areas including project management, logistics, procurement, team leadership, work distribution, and cost estimation.

“His impressive track record highlights his ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that prioritise the safety and security of both our facilities and their patrons,” the post says.
It adds that he possesses the interpersonal skills necessary to build and maintain strong relationships with both stakeholders and staff – traits that are essential for ensuring seamless operations.

“Mr Scipio is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity and is eager to contribute to the growth and enhancement of Anguilla’s sporting infrastructure,” the post ends.

His appointment took effect on 15 October.
