Anguilla suffered a 1-0 defeat to Belize in their second Concacaf Nations League matchup, replicating the score from their earlier encounter.
The group stage clash, held at FFB Stadium in Belize on 9 October, marked Anguilla’s second defeat in the regional competition.
In a commanding performance, Belize outplayed Anguilla with a staggering 70% possession throughout the match.
The decisive moment came in the 56th minute when Orlando Velasquez found the back of the net, securing the victory.
As a result, Anguilla did not earn any points from this fixture, leaving the team second in the group table with three points which it earned from its 2-0 victory over the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Belize maintains its lead with nine points, while the Turks and Caicos Islands remains at the bottom with zero points after two matches.
Anguilla’s next match will be against the Turks and Caicos Islands again on Sunday, 13 October, at FFB Stadium.
