Three people charged with sex and violence offences in Anguilla have been granted bail in the Magistrate’s Court.
On Thursday, 24 April, a 38-year-old man accused of indecent assault was released on bail in the sum of EC$9,000 with one surety.
His conditions are to not leave Anguilla, not commit any further offences and to not interfere with the victim either directly or indirectly.
The same day, Delrado Harrigan, 29, from Island Harbour was formally charged with wounding in connection with an incident during the Festival Del Mar celebrations.
He appeared at the Magistrate’s Court on 25 April and was granted bail in the sum of $60,000 with one surety.
His conditions are to not commit any further offences, not interfere with the victim, surrender all travel documents, not leave Anguilla and abide by a daily curfew.
Also on 25 April, the Magistrate’s Court granted bail to a 37-year-old man charged with unlawful sexual intercourse.
The magistrate granted bail in the sum of $100,000 with one surety of which $15,000 was to be paid in cash.
His conditions are to surrender all travel documents, not leave Anguilla, have no contact with the virtual complainant or any witnesses and not go within 100 feet of them.
The Royal Anguilla Police Force released the latest case details on its Facebook page and said updates will be provided as the investigations progress.
