The Anguilla Football Association (AFA) praised the team’s overall performance at the tournament in a press release on 3 February.
“While the result didn’t go our way, the growth, resilience, and determination shown by this team throughout the tournament speaks volumes,” the AFA said.

“From the first match to the last, these young women continued to improve, showing greater confidence, stronger teamwork, and an unbreakable fighting spirit on the field.
“They represented Anguilla with pride, heart and passion, leaving everything on the pitch and inspiring the next generation of female footballers.”
Anguilla recorded one win out of four matches during the tournement and finished their campaign on three points and fourth position out of five teams in Group E.
The win came on 31 January at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua, where the team defeated the British Virgin Islands 3-1.
“We are incredibly proud of this U-17 Women’s National Team and the journey they’ve taken together. This tournament is just the beginning. Well done, ladies,” the AFA said.
