The Anguilla Tourist Board participated in the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) alongside representatives from St Martin, St Maarten, and St Barts.
The islands are all part of the ‘Caribbean Destination Hub’ – a collaborative effort to promote the unique offerings, vibrant culture and collective appeal the region.
The union also aims to foster deeper connections with international travellers, industry partners, and luxury yachting enthusiasts, a press release from the board said on 18 November.
Held from 30 October to 3 November, the boat show is one of the largest in the world, attracting high-net-worth individuals, industry leaders, and travel aficionados.
The board’s destination experience manager Keri Rogers and marketing officer Sharon Richardson Lowe represented Anguilla at this year’s event.
Together, they engaged with attendees and industry professionals, sharing insights on Anguilla’s tourism offerings, recent developments, and upcoming events, including Tourism Week 2024.
Rogers said the pair were able to showcase Anguilla as a premier choice for discerning travellers seeking peace, luxury, and authentic Caribbean experiences.
“Our partnership with St Martin, St Maarten, and St Barth allows us to promote the region collectively, accentuating the shared yet unique qualities of each destination,” she said.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to connect with those who value sustainable tourism, cultural immersion, and unforgettable travel experiences.”
Their participation at the trade show aligns with the board’s strategic objectives of engaging new markets and strengthening relationships with stakeholders across the travel and yachting sectors.
