Anguilla Summer Festival begins this evening with vibrant street parade

The much-anticipated Anguilla Summer Festival officially begins this evening, 25 July, with a vibrant parade and showcase.

The parade, which will start at NAPA Auto Parts at 6.30pm and proceed along Wall Blake Road, marks the start of the island’s biggest annual cultural celebration.

From the airport roundabout, participants will travel along Carter Rey Boulevard towards The Valley, concluding at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre by 7.30pm.

Attendees can expect colourful floats, music from live bands, dancers and performers in vibrant festival costumes, and the display of the national flag.

The Royal Anguilla Police Force has announced that the parade route will be temporarily closed to regular traffic between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

Residents and visitors are advised to expect delays and to use alternative routes where possible.

The evening will continue at the cultural centre with an opening showcase, featuring music and performances from local artists.
