Anguilla residents offered free six-week course in online working

Residents in Anguilla, Montserrat and the British Virgin Islands are being offered free access to a six-week course that will teach them the skills needed to work online.

IsraAID Dominica’s ‘Work Online Caribbean Pilot Programme’ will begin in February thanks to funding from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The course offers a “flexible and supportive training environment where participants can develop the necessary skills to succeed on global online platforms”, an IsraAID press release said on 13 January.

The programme includes:

Weekly group coaching calls – These sessions will provide participants with guidance from experienced trainers and create opportunities for collaboration among peers.

Personalised mentorship – Participants will benefit from at least two one-on-one coaching sessions with personal mentors to help individuals develop sustainable online careers that align with their goals.

Self-paced learning – Each week, new learning modules will be released every Monday, allowing participants to learn at their own pace while balancing other commitments.

“The programme aims to empower participants to embrace the digital economy and achieve their personal and professional aspirations,” the press release said.

“We believe that by enhancing digital skills, we can foster economic resilience and create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods in our communities.”

Anyone who is interested should apply for the programme by 17 January.
